This blog of mine is over four months old now and in all this while I have mentioned him only once. Just ONCE! Abhishek Bachchan – the man I drooled over for so long! Still remember all the posts I dedicated to him on my old blog. Still remember the space I’d given him on my cupboard. Still remember all the pseudo whistles I maroed at him in theatres. I survived the three hours of KANK for his sake. Could not get over his Koffee With Karan interviews for days. Stood up for him when he started sporting long hair and people had weird things to say about him. Dreamed about him too!
But now, things have changed. He will be a married man by this Friday. Not that that status of his is too much of a concern per se but it is certainly having effects. Most importantly, that doll has made him just like herself – cold! I haven’t seen him smile in ages. And forget drooling over, I don’t even like people who don’t smile. Shouldn’t he have known that? I mean, I did not crib about his wedding even once; and this is what I get. No nice fun interviews, no Dus/Bluffmaster type movies with hot dance numbers in them, and no free kisses for me via the TV cameras. Uff! What a bummer!

Just wanna wish him a happy married life. Get success, do whatever….don’t become fat and at least leave scope for me to say that he was once a man I liked and raved about. It’s the bloody smile that I went bonkers over…WTF!

ash is cold…..she is more than cold…….looks so much calculative………i am generally not interested in all this crap but he would have been better without her……….btw i like the motorola ad…..quitegood in terms of weirdness, funny somehow and projecting the product features……

Jay hadn’t left a comment ‘cos he really hadn’t read the post yet.Anyway, not that I would want to waste my energy over trying to convinvce you that she is a nice person, no matter what kind of an image the media has given her(just another example of how ruthlessly manipulative the media can be), but I just wanna say that irrespective of whether he loses his smile or not, I’m sure she won’t be able to smile for a long time given the fact that she’s going into a family that takes ‘family decisions’ about whether the women of their family should work or not.I sympathize with her for getting into this AND having to spend the rest of her life with the ugly ogre.

At our house there is a deathly calm. As the big day approaches, my beloved roomie becomes more and more quiet and upset. She has instructed that there better be good food and loads of distractions at home on the 20th so that she can recover from what she terms the biggest tragedy in human history.Personally, I am quite happy with the marriage. Perhaps it is not out of love, but just a political alliance. Whatever it might be, it is powerful. And I like both of them. @ JayantDid they really take “family decisions” over whether or not Ash can marry? How incredibly moronic. And way to go! I liked the way you stood up for Ash.

JayantSee, we agree on the family thing and have discussed it already. It’s definitely ridiculous. About her image…I think it’s not just the media that plays a part in it. She herself is responsible too. I think if she is shy/introvert or whatever, she has the option to keep to herself. Faking a laugh just for the sake of it does not really help her either.Anyway, this will be an endless debate.But hey, you went too far with the ugly ogre thing. You can’t hurt my sentiments just because you’re The Bull. Don’t even try to bully.:PWoodsmokeOh, I can imagine. Tell Manasi that she’s not alone in it. It looks more like a marriage of convinience than love. But hey, who are we to judge, right? :PAnd the decision was not about whether Ash can marry or not, but whether she can continue working after marriage or not. Initially, in an interview, Amitabh said that it was a family decision, then in another interview, he said that Abhishek would decide if she can continue working or not. Bah! Now nobody will file a petition against him for making such a callous statement! Well, if he can get away with the UP campaign, then I guess, this is nothing.@ Rohit: 😀 You crazy about Ash too? My roomie already knows this and has already mentioned it! I am mourning and I sympathize with you!! Really speaking, Im not upset he is getting married.. Im upset he is getting married to HER!! She is goregious and all that .. but to me, (this is what comes to my mind everytime i see them together): she looks like awesome khana with no salt ..she lacks warmth (Abhishek just oozes warmth) .. he is like a dream and she a nightmare! she seems like a strict school teacher .. who is now going to discipline abhishek into this boring child! *sigh* so sad .. there is no way of stopping this.. both for Richa and me and all the Ash lovers here!! @ Sayantani: im very upset (with support to marriage)!!

He is actually married now. For you, I suggest Yuvraj Singh.I am not a huge fan of AB junior, but I agree with you that Ash is cold. Her smile seems very artificial.
