Summer

Ruhi recently visited Mumbai and brought back alphonso mangoes for her friends. I got three. I had the first one on Sunday night. The next one on Monday. I thought I’d give Tuesday a break, and have the last one on Wednesday night before leaving home for a four-day holiday. But I forgot about it until Thursday morning. And as usual, I didn’t have enough time in the morning before leaving for work. But there was no way I could have let the mango rot. So I stuffed it in my bag and figured I’d find a way to eat it in the office. On the way to work, I kept thinking about it. I wanted to eat it while it was still cold. So I quietly went into the pantry soon after arriving at work, pulled the head of the mango, positioned myself over the sink, and went basic. I hoped nobody would see me doing what I was doing. But it was SO MUCH FUN! The only thing I stopped short of doing was to rip open the peel at the end to make sure no pulp was left. The entire operation took less than 90 seconds. Now I am just sitting at my desk and gloating.
