…of…
ice cream with fresh mango bits in it
late night chat with mom
the sight of gulmohar and bougainvillea
cotton kurtas, chappals and silver jewellery
makki ki roti and sarson ka saag
the nephew jumping up and down
the annoying reminder of walking carefully past kids with water guns
Seeta aur Geeta on the telly
unlimited access to paranthas
cold water showers
smell of rain settled on mud
mom’s champi
dad bringing home golgappe
bhai being ‘present’ while being on his phone
cousins and friends pretending they didn’t give up precious time to hang out with me
the otherwise constant hunger being beaten by more frequent offers of food/snacks
the sun
Delhi.
