This morning we were going through our usual routine. C and K at breakfast in the kitchen, me getting ready upstairs. Ordinarily I go downstairs fully ready, helping K transition from breakfast to clean up, uniform, and ready for school!
Today I planned to work from home. So I went downstairs after brushing my teeth, and a solid 20 minutes earlier than usual. K instantly said, “Why aren’t you wearing your beautiful clothes?”. It was such a sharp, funny and adorable remark! Especially given that he was asking C where his Dad was the second before.
I promptly promised to get into my beautiful clothes and rushed upstairs.
